Cool Flymentor will not link

I have a brand new Flymentor. I installed the KDS Link and driver (V 1.0.0.1). It is on com2 and the system says it is working properly. I have Windows XP. I installed the latest Helibal (V2.11).
  1. Plug in the gyro and optical sensor
  2. Connect power to port 5 on the Flymentor 3D
  3. Start Helibal
  4. Plug the KDS link into a USB port
  5. Plug the KDS link into the Flymentor 3D
  6. Power up the Flymentor 3D
  7. Red light blinks
  8. Red light goes to mode where it blinks 3 times, waits, blinks 3 times ...
  9. Program never connects to the Flymentor 3D
Anyone else having this problem? Any help greatly appreciated.

Three flashes means FM initialization failed. Are the Gyro and CCD plugged in the right way? Also the gyro shouldn't be moved during init.

Finally got it to connect. I had the KDS link in a USB expansion port. It doesn't like that. It wants to be in port on the motherboard.

Glad you got it to connect, no one could even guess that one. Now begins the easy stuff Let us know how you progress.

Once you get it all setup you will be amazed of yourself and your heli flight, especially if it is your first stabilization system
