Chris- Go ahead and get you a DS95i you won't be disappointed.

I flew 2 packs yesterday and one this morning on my way to work. Best flying 450 that I've ever flown, and it's still growing on me. The more I fly it the more I love it!!
Great Heli! Can't wait until I get more batteries.. Ordered them last week, should have them by wednesday.

Put just 6 packs through her. Bumped my pitch up to +-13* and put revo-mix on low to compensate. It was real windy today, almost put her in inverted due to the constant bobbing. I'll post some pics soon as the wife gets em off the camera.

Please, Can you tell me the length of the link rods from servo to plate and from plate to head (at 0 pitch)?
I know...it could be different from model to model but it's just to start from something know..... I'm doing the same upgrade to my heli (same servos, same alu block, FBL with low head, etc.)

Thanks
Rino

Had some nice flights Saturday. Practiced autos with the 500 protos until I crashed. I was doing them stupidly high... Note to self: if you can't hear the blades because it's too far away, err on the side of too much negative. Nothing broke but the servo arms

But the mini protos felt really good!

Auto'd my mini for the first time today, commited to full down auto. I'm SO glad I did that motor failure training in the sim like million times over. The motor thankfully spooled up so that I could save it at the weeds altitude and bring her back intact.

The bearing in my swash is going out so It's grounded until I get a replacement. In the mean time, I've been simming a lot this week working out inverted hovering. fun stuff.

Two packs at the local field in some wind after an almost complete rebuild. Flies great, but I get stupidly nervous as soon as it's in the air. Visibility is kind of rough with the stock setup, so I'm keeping her close and I think I'm going to get the bright landing gear to help with the visibility or maybe paint the black one yellow to match my fusuno canopy...or find some yellow electrical tape and stagger placement to add contrast.

I put six packs in today. Just casual easy flights. A great wind down from the day.

Finally figured out Governer Store mode after reading a great post about it in the Protos 500 forum. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=415683 It's all setup and ready to go, will be taching it and setting my curves for the desired headspeeds.

Also upped my startup speed to Heli Medium. The slow start was just way too SLOWWWW! Medium is perfect!!

Got ec3 connectors soldered onto my new batteries. Now I've got 4 to fly instead of two.
Waiting for them to get charged up so I can go fly.

Weather hasn't been much helpful in the past week or so... So I bought and installed the MKS DS95i Mini should be super awesome once the clouds clear.

Yesterday, had a little incident. About 50 feet in the air, my throttle wire came unplugged from my Ar7200BX. She dropped like a rock. Zero damage.
