Here you go: These are good pinions. I have seen pics of 2 Century 2pc 8t pinions that failed. These are 1 pc construction.

Question Getting Ready to Purchase Drive Electronics

I'm getting ready to purchase the motor, ESC, etc. for my E620. I've seen so many postings here and elsewhere with set-ups, pinions, vendors... Unfortunately, none of the recommendations ever seems to be easy to follow-up on. Example: I've seen a lot of comments about the Scorpion 4035 motors, but can't seem to find the correct pinion.

I'm a relative beginner and won't be looking to do 3D with this helicopter. Long-term I'm interested in AP in typical flight modes (not acrobatic) with this helicopter. If I graduate to 3D flying it will actually be in something slightly smaller (i.e. cheaper) like a 450 or 500 size.

I need a recommendation on motor, ESC, pinion, battery pack size , BEC, etc for what I'm going to be doing with this one. Also, LINKS to vendors would be appreciated. My other helicopters came as complete kits so assuming I know from a model number the manufacturer would be an assumption. I know some of them but not all of them.

Thanks

I think if you asked this in the Raptor electric forum you would get a lot more responses.

Hi Bob, Thank you for all of your building and flying videos. I think your flying ability has all of the building blocks in place to start flying light 3d if your not already.

I have used your videos to build my T-rex 450, 500 and 600 nitro. There are a lot of people out there that appreciate all your hard work.

Hi, I just purchased a TT e620. All I do is circuit flying. No 3D for me. Question, can I run a Z30 brushless or similar and 550 blades and run 5 or 6 cell lipos?

Default motor and pinion

Great vids Bob. I dont think that the pinion should be up all the way on motor shaft because it will not allow the motor to move up when needed. This caused my motor to fail because when the motor wanted to move it could not and put all that force on the bering.......failure!
