Default What batteries are you using? And..

So I got 2 batteries for my novus. They of course use the lead for charge plug on the 120... Well charge plug for me! I hate that red plug for the fact I rip skin off every time I unplug it. Why 2 leads for the battery I was sent.? Is it a better plug (the red one) or will I notice a difference if I change the esc to the white style, whatever it is I don't know the name of the connector off hand. That way both helis have the same. I went through micro deans and never noticed a diff. FOR MY FLYING. I do not 3d..
Just a thought. I was bummed, but very happy, I didn't buy more 600's from my LHS.. Is there a different batt you all are using and where and what do I need? LOL.
New territory for me on these but my mcp just got another layer a dust today

Are you talking about the battery for V120D02S? I used the stock battery & nano-tech 950 battery which cost me $3.20 from Hobby King they are longer which I push thorough the front of battery tray they same 2 plugs they are made for Walkera v120 helis.

Yep. I have the novus and the batts for it just have the white lead only. My new 120 walkera came with the batt that has the two leads, one of witch works in the heli max novus 125, other red one of course fits the walkera. So I can use my walkera batt in my novus but my novus batts don't have the red plug/lead so I can't use em in the walkera. They're brand new, I have 2 so I would like to fit the batts or change the connector on the walkera to be compatible with the novus!! Same freaking battery, oh why do they have to change things??? And maybe they didn't. IDK what walkera has used all along. But it's weird the 120 batts have 2 diff. leads. At least I can use it on my novus 125.
I just want batts that will work in both helis! Same freakin size, same batt!

The 02s has the red lead as it is larger and can handle more current. The white lead is only there to make it backwards compatible with the chargers.

You can make or buy a jumper and use them interchangeably. I don't really know how much using the white lead would affect performance as I have never tried it.

The red leads are a major PITA, I have learned a specific way to cradle the heli in my left hand while I disconnect the battery with my right. I have to do it the exact same way every time 'else I surely rip off part of a finger nail or something.

Dude I know! I hate em, same as the sr120 used. So I did just make a jumper. IDK if I will tell a difference but I will find out! I will probably swap the esc connector. It does rip skin. I take batt out, lay heli on side and get a good hold of both without stressing the heli.

The red jst plug is much better than the standard walkera plug. It's rated for a higher amperage, and you can actually notice a difference in power when you use it. They are a pain sometimes to get on an off, but they loosen up after a few uses, and you can always switch to micro deans if you need to.

I found some stockers thanks to the threads! I made a jumper so I could use my novus batts. I cut the end off the wall charger that came with it! And like I said, that jst was used on the sr120 so I had 1 and away I went. Jumper works ok, but the batteries do get hotter and don't seem to last. So I do belive the current draw is a bit more, and I might start putting little deans on everything. I used them on the mcpx but didn't notice a difference. This has alot more power however..
