Default Cuts out at top of loop at around 2:00 - twice

Realized that I have an enigma here.

Bought a warp used a while back, with Ikon, mks servos, xnova motor, using Ikon governor, hobby wing 50a, pretty much loaded.

Put a few test flights on it and then the problems have started. About a couple of weeks ago, was flying about two minutes into the battery, pulling it up and over into an inverted hover, the power cuts out at around 100 feet up (I was probably 100 yards away as well). I evidently retained servo control so I dont think the fbl rebooted. I actually thought i had hit throttle hold in midair accidentially. One landing gear strut broken, canopy has stress cracks. No other damage Brought it home, went over it carefully, chalked it up to my own goofiness. Put it in a hover for an entire battery in the front yard, no problems.

Today, took it out, and it did the EXACT same thing again, same way going into a vertical climb, about to go over into inverted at around the same distance. This time, I deliberately kept my hand off of throttle hold. My second emergency auto ever brought the bird down the same way into tall grass, same damage except I broke a main blade this time.

I brought it home and took the blades off and powered it up again, bench testing the hell out of it. Couldnt get the error to re-occur, could not get the fbl to brown out. Even got the wife to grab the thing at full spun up and tried to somewhat duplicate the maneuver. Still couldnt replicate the problem

I'm debating now as to what to do. I have another warp that I could break this guy down to use as spares for. But, I dont like admitting defeat and putting possibly bad parts in the mix elsewhere.

Would static discharge cause this? I noticed that I forgot to add the wires to ground the boom ..

Or, could it be a motor issue here? I have a spare stock motor that I may put on this thing for now and see as well.

This bird has only a single dsmx on it, mounted on the upper rear deck. Is this a problem place for it?

Time to put my thinking cap on......any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I havent been flying the Warp for too long and I don't know as much about its quirks

I have a gsr-3030 sitting around doing nothing. Think I'll put it to use to start

Ground your boom first.

Hi,

Do you remember if the receiver / satellite was blinking?
In my case it was a BEC problem, solved with a Gryphon Polaris. I never grounded the boom.

I was using an HiModel 60A. It's still here, but with a Gryphon Polaris GSR-3030 to manage the SBEC part.

Just read something about this recently. Carbon fiber can shield the transmitter signal.

If I understand what you described, it sounds like you lost control of your heli as the frame got between you and the satellite receiver?

What I've read is that it is good to have two sats, one on each side so signal can always reach at least one
