Default Should I buy a 500E?

Im looking at buying a 500E but was wondering if it will be phazed out soon due to the newer 500 pro? I just do basic hovering and flight so performance isn't really an issue. I fly a mini titan now with 2200 mah packs, can I just run 2 of those packs in the 500e and what would flight times be? I fly a very conservative 6-7 minutes on the Titan now and could probably stretch 8-9 out of it,but I have several packs so I don't push it. Any advise would be great..

I doubt it will be phased out, Align introduced that combo less than a year ago to specifically attack the various clones out there, offering a cheap entry level package.

I just bought a 500e Pro .. but there are too many "older style" 500's out there that Align cannot afford to stop supporting them, so whatever you buy you can be rest assured that spares n support will be around for a very very long time yet.

Dude, I should know better..you may save yourself a $ or 3 in the short term but I think in the long term, even if you don't break stuff, you will want to upgrade. Bite the bullet, save a little longer and buy the best kit you can. But, I will say that my belt drive has taken an absolute hammering and hasn't broke, never owned a torque tube but seen lots of posts saying that they will break at any excuse. My belt drive took out a flax bush, my lawnmower can't do that., haha
