Thanks, wouldn't have any of it without having my wonderful wife who supports her husbands addiction!

I don't have the 500 anymore but maybe I'll get a larger heli later on. I'm enjoying the more cost effective 450 for now

I'm happy to see someone else went with the aluminum flybar cage and plastic seesaw. The aluminum seesaw is durable but the play between the brass insert and seesaw is just not right.

Yup, I did the only few items I felt could to be added for a better flying heli as I want the blade 450 to remain as stock as possible. This is the first Heli I feel has flown great and the 3 upgrades were pretty small... blades dampeners & the full aluminum flybar cage.

Saved a Lizard in distress today! It was a beanie lizard... not light.. not heavy. Long lining takes some practice. I need some more of it.

Now others should long line some stuff and post em up!

I have tried doing the same sort of thing with my mCPX and have noticed it is hard to fly the heli meanwhile trying to "hook" your load.
Did you have a hook on the end of the string to snag the lizard?

Just my luck, the string would somehow make it into my rotors

No, I was not hooking, I have thought of what you describe. It would be very difficult for me to watch the hook and fly the heli. I think it will take many more months of practice before I can not look at the heli and hover

Yes, you have to be careful of that one! I start out with the lizard in front of me and when I land, I land the lizard infront of the machine, and hover backwards a bit and land. The tail is more frightening though if you accidentally fly over the grounded lizard a bit as the rope will come towards the tail.

Inevitably a lot of first time rc heli pilots that started with the Blade 450 3D(my first CP) will want to move up to a larger Heli. I just moved up and am almost finished with my Protos 500 build. Here's some side by side with my B450 for a size comparison.

Try the protos at 95% rpm and go full collective up.

But be careful as if you do that for more than 3 sec, you might reach outer space and it doesnt fly real well there, but inverted is easier.
