Default New 300X Maiden and request for DX6i settings

So I maidened my 300x out of the box, and hovered it for about 3 minutes.

Flies ok but seems a bit touchy with the "Normal" settings from the manual (Throttle curve adjusted per addendum).

Anybody want to share any DX6i settings for the 300X for a more inexperienced pilot?

It's not near as touchy as my Nano CPX, but still not as calm as I would like it.

The ncpx is cheap to fix, this one won't be.

Looked, but didn't find anything specifically for the DX6i.

I went to the BX control behavior ... Parameter menu B and started at "Normal". Made it very easy to fly, I soon stepped up to "Sport".This takes D/R and expo away from your radio.I figured just one setting that's easy to change to next progression is the way to go.

I used the suggestions from Helibus in post #3 of this thread.

The single easiest thing to do: just dial in 30% positive expo to rudder, elevator, aileron. This should allow you to hold a nice steady hover.

If you're somewhat technical at all then I'd say just stick with the default "transmitter mode" in parameter menu B and adjust your rates and expo to suit the level of sensitivity you can handle. This will be the most similar to what you're used to on the Nano. Rates control how quickly the heli will flip/roll/yaw for a given input and expo controls how soft the sticks will feel around center. 70% rates and 20% expo for ail/ele/rud are probably good for a beginner. Then just keep adjusting the rates up as you want the heli to react faster. Plus you can always switch between lower and higher rates from the transmitter to see what you like best or to try out new settings.

If all that sounds like Greek then maybe changing the control behavior in parameter menu B to "normal" or "sport" might help. If you do that, make sure you have the rates at 100% and expo at 0% in your transmitter. You can think of these as built in rates and expo. So you don't want to have rates and expo on the transmitter that would interfere.
