Ok, maybe I shouldn't worded this differently. I know most of you wanted to put the sport canopy on the standard 500, so you would have more room, but I wanted to know if the old canopy and boom will fit on the new sport without any modifications. I would just like my 500 to match my 700. And I really don't like that 500 Sport written on the canopy, I prefer the original look.

Doubt it would fit without mods. The sport canopy is slightly longer on the underside where it slots in the skid slots. I think the 500 is a bit shorter there so you'll need to mod the skids to fit. Also the servo and motor will have a tight fit. If I remember correctly SAB used to release a 500 canopy for full size servos. That might give you a better chance to fit properly.

If I meet one of the guys with a 500 on the field today I'll try on his canopy and let you know.

Ok, I just checked the fit of an original canopy on to the Sport and I don't know what happened as I could've sworn that it fits, but what I found was that there is major clashing with the roll2 or pitch servo/mount, as well as with the Pyro 650 I have fitted.
