My 550 as been on the shelf in a broken state for the last 3 years. I ordered the parts (luckily) right after I crashed it, but never got around to the rebuild. Dusted it off over the weekend, rebuilt, and back in the air. Unfortunately, I see that the future of Outrage is in question and parts availability if very limited.

So, I'm thinking of converting the head to fbl. Found an old runryder thread with a little info, didn't find much here. I'm looking at getting a set of extended control balls for an Align 500 (17mm long), outrage swash driver and mixer arms, and 70mm long pitch links for an Align 600. Anyone have any opinions/experience on going this route versus spending 4x as much on a whole fbl head?

Thanks Slyster. I think I skimmed that before, but a second look didn't reveal any new information. I guess most folks just jump to complete heads. I went ahead and ordered the parts as it was only 30$. Did a little research on the Vstabi page and it looks like the arm ratio should be close.
