Default Hover training

Just got a copy of Reflex 5.03 - I can hover the real thing no problem, but wanted to start learning nose in without damaging anything

I am struggling to hover the sim, more than the real thing

I looked into 'hover training' but it is greyed out!
Any suggestions

Thanks
Keith

If you set the expo to somewhere around -50 for ail/elv and -20 for tail under 'model paramaters' that should help. also you can reduce the hovering instability under 'physical paramaters' which also makes it easier to fly. Once you get the hang of it is still fairly easy to fly when you reset them back.

I think the sim is definately harder to hover in its default settings than a real heli.

I have changed direction of main rotor to RIGHT (was set on left) which has seemed to help for some reason and set the hovering instability at zero. (should it be negative?)

Thanks for any more help

Keith

I don't have my relex here in front of me right now, but I think hover training is only available in the reflex scenerary, not the photo realistic scenary.

You can definately get the hover more realistic by tweaking some of the parameters.. Hovering Stability under Physical Parameters/Main Rotor and Maximum Hub Moment same place.
