Considering it is a recent mod and obviously many have flown without it, I would say your OK to do the mod later.
Bob

I wonder how many like me have been waiting for this build .... but because the wait has gone so long went with something else. I decided (because I really have no patience) to build a 600N. Sorry Bob, but I really needed to decide on a 50 heli and because the 600N build was there... went with it.

I appreciate the quality of all the Finless videos, but wow, you would think that no helicopters were ever built and flown before Bob was born.
The Pantera Instructions aren't that bad. There is also another video out there.

In regards to putting in the fuel tank pickup and gromet, I put the clunk, fuel hose and fitting together first with a piece of fuel line attached to the fitting outlet, then put it in the tank then installed the gromet and used the fuel line to pull the fitting into the gromet, beats trying to work the whole assembly into the fuel tank. Then just hold the fitting in with the fuel line and slip the washer and nut over and tighten. WaLa

Also my kit didn't come with the servo support boss either, for installing the swashplate guide and gyro platform. It comes with the servo output shaft stabilizer option, which I recomend even if your a sport flyer, if you install the servo's as not to crush the servo gromets there still is a little movement of the servo's in the mounts the stabilizers will eliminate that movement.

Does anyone know if its safe to trim the root of a carbon fiber blade? I bought the cheapy Pro Tek CF blades for my Pantera and one of the blades won't fold back it hits the bolt for the blade grip.

You mean it hits the spindle bolt? You can trim back there a little but not enough to get into the laminates. If it is just the mold seam (gelcoat, etc) then yes you can. How much you talking about?
