Default Flying HH Brushless vs Stock: back to back

Both helis on the same Tx settings, both with newish parts and cnc swash upgrades I find that:

The Stock flys quiter and requires less inputs at hover respect to the HH Brushless setup.
The stock will just sit there quietly in a hover where as the BL heli is a little more squirrely. I can get the BL version to stable hover but somehow it seems to take more concentration and inputs.

Is this making sense to anyone and...is this normal behaviour for the two different setups?

I have tried swapping out most parts (tail, head, mainshaft, etc) but still same results.

I only wanted the BL version for the motor reliability.

My flying style with this heli is purely inverted hover practice and flips.

Cheers for any thoughts on this.....

I think it is just the difference in head speeds. Every conversion I have done has always been a hand full compared to stock. An aftermarket swash and silicone O-rings seems to help with the squirreliness, if that is a word.

Thanks for confirming what I thought NCcraig.

Im just not feeling it for my BL Nano compared to stock so am staying with Stock with alu swash and a good set of 45C batteries plus a spare motor or two.

I think under squirreliness in the Oxford English dictionary it says ...."See NCPx" :-)

Great, I just got in the HH conversion yesterday. I like flying in the living room and don't need more squirreliness! That is the reason I bought it, for motor reliability.

nickyd, how do the the 45c batteries work with stock configuration?

Stock loves the 45c. I find it helps give it that little extra power at times.

Dont worry about the BL. It wasnt for me and my level but Im probably in the minority as most have no issues. The good thing is you can easily swap and change motors now you have both.

Have fun...
