Default Please help, no response in headspeed.

Hi guys,

Don't know if this is the right place to post this, because I must admit that I don't know where to look anymore. Don't know if it is a vbar or Jive problem.
Just got my TDR build with a pyro, vbar 5.2 and powerjive 120, radio DX8
I setup my vbar according the wizard no govenor.
And got mode 4 and 9 on the jive.
Heli flies great. Just one little snag when flipping to idle 1 or 2 the headspeed stays the at the same rpm, no increase at all.
I have got the throtlle curve set to normal 25% idle1 35% and idle2 50%
I can see the throttle signal increase on the vbar pc software, when I flip the mode switch with the vbar connected to the pc.
The pitch responds correctly to the selected flight mode
Also tried reprogamming the jive but no joy.
I must be missing something, hope you guys know what.
Regards Ash

What motor and gearing? Those TC are a bit low, even for Kontronik.

Hi Vinger
Using the 13 tooth pinion and a Pyro 700-52 motor 12s pack.
I found those tc very low as well. The TDR manual says that 24% should give about 1400 rpm.

The TDR manual was actually written for the older Kontronik motor, thats why you see those low TC in the manual.

have you done the endpoint correction? If not then those TC values of yours are to low. The TDR with 700-52 motor and a 14t pinion normally gets 1600 rpm HS at about 65% throttle. See the dedicated Henseleit thread for great info on setups. Have you physically measured the HS?

It seems you have the TC to low and the ESC does not get to the governor or closed loop control.

Problem solved, I programmed the jive with a throttle curve of 0,25,25,25,25 instead of 0,25,50,75,100.
When you mentioned endpoints it occurred to me that I might of done that.
So Vinger thanks alot.

When you programme the Jive you must have a linear TC, then callibrate the end points, then set the TC to a flat curve.
