Default Pitch/Curve D/R Expo for Sports flying

What is good settings to learn and fly Sports such as peforming loops and rolls? I have no desire for 3D so I don't think I will need agressive pitch/throttle curve. Using dx6i with stock Blade Mcpx BL. I am not a beginner pilot as I can FFF, Figure 8 and circuits on idle-up.

I would assume that I don't need to setup heli for aloft pitch like 3D, maybe -4,0,10 with flat Throttle curve of 80% to 100%? Trying this on stock Black MCPx BL.

What about D/R and expo go 100/20%?

It's really whatever you are comfortable flying.

Even when not doing 3D, a linear pitch curve is usually regarded as best as it responds the same all through the range (0,25,50,75,100). Nice to be able to "hang" inverted at the top of a loop, or mid roll (think 4 point roll). Only if doing pure "scale", (no aerobatics or inverted), then you may want a more positive skewed curve.

mCPX BL should go fine on flat 80 throttle curve (although some like a v-curve to counter blade resistance from positive and negative pitch). If you are using a v-curve, it is probably even more important to have a symmetrical pitch curve that centres round mid stick.

DR&expo is really personal taste. What leaves you feeling connected with the heli. As long as you DR is 100, you have max cyclic/rudder input at the stick extreemes. The expo is just how "mushy" or "twitchy" the centre stick will feel. No right or wrong here. Play till it feels right.

The mCPX BL has ludicrously more power vs weight than a real heli, so is probably not a "good" scale flyer. Not much mass either so limited in smoothness of true sport flying too. As a sport trainer will do fine though.

From my limited experience, it's more about training your ability to give the desired input than limiting the inputs you can possibly give (which is why I advocate full and consistent ranges). I am prepared to be proven wrong on this though.

On the small ones do not make the cyclic slow. That makes them nearly unflyable in loops and rolls.

i have it adjusted so it does 1.5-2 rolls / second about.
Same on ail.

No expo.

Mcpx BL got tons of headspeed and yes its very light. I'm going to start out with 80% or 85% flat curve. Currently I'm flying with D/R of 100% and 20 % expo on all cyclic except for Rudder is 100% without any expo. I'll stick to linear pitch curve on idle and see how it goes.
