Default MY DREAM BUILD

I have to admit, my emotions are at a peak right now. Damn, that box is big! There I was sitting in front of the tv, wishing the damn UPS driver would get here, and like magic, he appeared.

Opening the shipping box revieled the Avant box and the YS91sr long stroke engine. Both were excellently packed to prevent them from shifting and damaging either box.

The Avant box is beautiful, no expense spared in the quality of the graphics of the box itself, ( sure they'll enjoy it at the dump ). The box, once everything is packed inside is sealed you'll notice.

Opening the box,,,, Holly sh*t! Look at the size of that canopy! Had to take a shot of the fleets canopys lined up for comparison, ( notice the 450 canopy. nicely scuffed up from inverted training ).

Inside, besides the canopy are a whole bunch of plastic bags, extremely well labeled with which bag number it is, all the part numbers and quantity of each inside.

You'll see in one of the bag pics they do an excellent job of protection all the fancy cnc parts so they only get scratched by the owner. Nice touch.

The frames are a work of art, and very high quality blind nuts are installed. Took my pen knife to see how soft they are, no worrys there, they spared no expense in the quality of the components. Little details like that, that's what you pay for.

The boom!!!!! OMG, that thing is absolutely gorgeous! I can see why a replacement is $40.

So, what have I done? That's about it. I downloaded Finless Bob's build video's, studied them. The manual is on a cd, so I think I'll load it into my ps3, sit back in my easy chair and start by sanding the sharp edges off the frame.

Pretty.

Steve, it's amazing hearing you describe the feeling, I thought I was the only one.

As soon as I glanced at the pic Tom, seen those frame sides with integrated bearings and blind nuts I thought "oh yeah, expensive!". For the cost of the kit you'd think they'd include a painted canopy..

Hopefully when their 50 is out, the head is a drop on fit for my 50, I want that Aurora head!

I was going to be rude then Mike, but my maturity shone through to save the day!

Tom. You started building that baby yet?

Wow Tom! Extremely cool!

They are right when when they print ULTIMATE 90 on the box.

I get excited just looking at the pictures

I think you're the first .90 owner on our forum. Oh, and by the way, I'll expect to see you at the next meeting...

Amazing, it's got to be the closest feeling to the feeling you get when you have a new born baby as you can get.

If I were you, I couldn't keep still to add a post to the forum.

You must post detailed build pictures!

Steve, lay it on me, cuz I can't figure out where you're gonna come from on that one...

Don't expect much activity from ol' Tommy boy, He can't even walk into the same room as the kit and he had to leave to clean up. Ironically, it's the same room his TV, PS3 and computer are in I think.

Is that an Avant?
Don't you need to move it to the Avant forum?

Feel free to hang out and post here.

Most of us started with Belts and many of us are still flying them, but we also own a wide variety of helis and are interested in whatever is being built or flown by the guys here.

Our main purpose is to help sort out any problems guys are having with their Belts, but we don't stop with the Belts, we try to help whoever asks, whatever they happen to be flying.

I thought exactly the same, sad isn't it, one of the most beautiful kits I have seen and one of, if not the best 90 size heli and one of my first thoughts was "No painted canopy!".

Tom, a beautiful heli there, really envious!

Riccardoc, yeah you're right it should be in the Avant forum and I am sure Tom will post there too, but we are all mates here and love to see what each other has got as their latest projects and none of us are overly worried about staying on topic. It has been over a year since I had a belt cp, but this is the forum I check first and hang out in

We do of course still have a lot of knowledge of the belt and try and help out whenever we can to those in need
