Still learning, but took her out and hovered through two batteries today. First time out in about six months. -- Tom

I did NOT fly today.

Instead.. we finally made good on our promise to get a puppy for your 7 and 9 year old kids. He's Goldendoodle.. part Poodle part Golden retriever. VERY cute. We had to drive 3 hours to get him. Named him Jack (at least we think)

Great flying day here in Texas today.... Flew my Trex 450 about 6 packs worth. Did crash (Don't Ask) But easy repair... Then flew a buddies Trex 450 Pro twice... Sweet..... Then flew his Trex 600 ESP... Double Sweet.... The winds remained calm all afternoon and I finally got to fly Lil 250 outside 5 packs worth.... Then topped the day off with my first night flight on a Trex 450 with XeroGear lights and Align night blades..... Overall a great day!!!!

Went flying the other day and tried out the Outrage 3000 packs compared to the Zippy 3300's. Might have to give them a few cycles before the jury is out on them. But flew 6 packs with no issue's.

You are not a real helifreak, unless you name him "Trex", "Hiller", "Bell", "Rexie", "Raptor" etc....

Just kidding...

Indeed very cute puppy you got!
My friend had a "Schnoodle". It was a mix between Schnauser and Poodle.

Finally got out again! Flew 8 mins x 4 lipos..

Some decent stick time. One thing I was trying was some staitonary back flips.. and inverted nose in hovering stints of perhaps 10 seconds at a time... and although they were ok.. they were nothing like Phoenix... much sloppier and tippier.. even though I tweaked the heck out of the sim to behave just like the real deal.

Is this just inherent to the sim being TOO easy? Or would they actually be smoother if I was running 100% (13T) rather than the 92% I am running now? I wonder if more RPM's are going to make them easier. My model on the sim is governed to 2800RPM but I have no idea what 13T/92% is really giving me.

But fun to tear up the field! Did a lot more loops.. a few of those big power loops.. can't believe the power in the 500 and a bunch of FF rolls.. getting better at them.

Now storms move in for the next few days... Phoenix anyone?

Flew the 450 6 times.. great little thing too.. much less pucker factor.

I flew today, I flew yesterday, I flew the day before
15 minutes of hard code 3d hovering .. I'm addicted and can't wait to fly again tomorrow.. I've been getting home at 10PM and the first thing I do is go outside and fly, then settle in and do my normal stuff...
the day before yesterday, I flew right before I went to work and again at the end of the day...
I'm not counting though.. why do you?

I Flew yesterday as for the first time in long memory we had zero wind and totally blue sky the temp was 78. I flew seven packs, my new Zippy 3300's. Wow what power, I was easy on them only six minutes each. I had decreased my expo from 25% to 10% to get a better response to my cyclic. I was used to a faster roll & flip rate on my Trex v2. I think I will need to get the Curtis Youngblood paddles I here they are very fast. I am on about my 25th flight on my 500ESP and I am loving it. I will be selling my Hurricane 550. The 500 is a far better machine without a doubt. Here are some pictures.

better yet: I've flown every single day of my life since I built the trex500.
My second flight was so a close call, the wind came and took the heli so far away I couldn't see it.. still don't know how I got it back and landed it.. and total flights about 6
