The build is comming along slowly, much at work and a baby and wife at home with all the stuff that comes along with that. But boom and rear tailcase is on, will have to take them apart anyway to make the static mod (didn't have the cable when building the other day). And the Tx battery is finally dead and I can not charge it until I get the charger so head setup is pending... But I did create a litte tool, rather clever if I might say so my self. It is not ground breaking in anyway and I believe there is tools similar to what I did. One small tool can act as a swash plate leveler but without removing the top of the head, and it can also secure the flybar to be able to setup and read pitch ranges properly. If it is successful I will make sure to share later on! But I wanna try it first myself. Also, I am trying to find out weather or not I need to secure the bearings (main shaft bearing and tailshaft bearings) into the plastic like finless does using shoo goo (or something). Perhaps using R48 that comes with the kit or CA or nothing at all??? Hoping to get all soldering work done on friday, I'm having a full day with my brother so we can tinker with this stuff. gonna do deans on batteries and charger as well as creating a solution for charging the Tx. Also creating a power supply out of a computer PS. so it coming along, perhaps I will post some pics tomorrow, if I manage to snap some in the morning! //B

I searched everywhere for about 30 minutes, upstairs downstairs this box and that bag, all I could find was this big bar almost as long as my 450...oooooh, that's the flybar. I find comfort in the fact that I'm not the only one that has done this. And congrats Boddan, you will be amazed the first time you take her up, I promise you that, 10x fold.

Boddan. You can turn all the servo's to 90 degrees with your hand and setup the head. Then when you get the TX working you can use the subtrim to get the servos at 90. Then once you have done that the head will already be setup.
I think I need to do the anti static mods too. I will have to look into it. -Jonny

I actually got the servos 90 before it died on me, so that is set. So I belive I could setup the head if I would like but I think I'll wait for the Tx.
Forgot to snap a pic this morgning but I had one in the cell, not too good quality but still it's a pic

Must be fun to se your baby perform to her out most!
Yes, I'm taking the time, since I have more time thinking of the build then I actually got building it! But looks like I will take her apart again to apply the CA in the bearings and do the ground boom to engine mount mod. Hopefully I get my charger today as well, just to convert the computer power supply and it will be up and running!

HELP!
Can anyone help me! I have the spektrum wall charger, I have cut off the wires coming from the wall adaptor to instead connect them to the Bantam BC6 charger and use the tx plug straight into the tx. I know Pod jockey has done this. But i dont have a multi meter so I can not figure out which one is the positive and which is negativ? I have one solid black wire and one solid black with a white stripe in it. Please help!

(To be precise, the Bantam charger senses polarity so you will not be able to charge it the wrong way...)

Trying is believing! I just double-checked on my MC-19. The charger started complain loudly as soon as I plugged in. Just trust me and go ahead!

It is now charging! I charge NiMh at 1A in "man" mode, I guess it will stop when it is done?

To be on the VERY safe side, you can stop the charging and check....
