Xtreme Production Nano upgrades
I saw that Xtreme has more Nano CPX upgrades beyond those mentioned elsewhere.
The DFC style head has been shared before. But I see a feathering shaft. I wonder if it only fits their head or if it can fit the stock head/grips. Additionally, I see new main and tail blades option. Hoping that it's not a rebrand of the ones MicroHeli/Lynx and Fusano offers. Finally, I see canopy options. Their mCPX canopy were decently strong. Priced more reasonable than the NanoCPX original. http://www.xtreme-production.com/xtr...oducts_id=8344 Angular contacted bearings. I don't know what that's all about. Any body have any guesses? Last item of note, landing skids. Likely heavier than the stock skids like it's mCPX version. However, I know many people like them due to being more crash resistant. So good option for those who needs the durability. Full listing here: http://www.xtreme-production.com/xtr...sort=1a&page=1 |

The spindle is 1.5mm in diameter while stock is 1mm. It will only work with the Xtreme grips.

That sounds like a great idea! The stock spindle bends if you just breath on it, I've always thought they should have made it bigger.

I ordered both their red and yellow NCPX canopies. Now just waiting for somebody to carry the skids.

I have the blades now and I can say they are just a hair heavier than stock (I'm talking about 0.1g or less heavier), but are a bit more stiff and have a slightly thinner cord by just a hair and are identical in every other way. They are almost hi-liter color, so they don't quite match the Xtreme canopy colors, but are close.
The canopies are one piece and should prove to be very durable like the mCP X and 130X canopies. The spindle can only be used with the Xtreme grips and dampers, but either the stock or Xtreme hub.

Hey guys,
Sorry to bump an old thread, but I just wanted to see if anyone can confirm that the Xtreme blade grips and spindle will fit on the stock rotor head. I can't justify spending $14 on the rotor head/hub just for the bling. My LHS is sold out of the plastic blade grips, so my only choice for now is the Xtreme ones. I reazlied the user above me mentions they are compatible, I just wanted to double check incase anyone has had any problems with fitment. |

update Xtreme DFC grips for nanos rock
Many crashes (more than 200) = zero problems , although once a link did come loose from the swash. I have been flying the heck out of my newest dbl bl nano.
I bought another pair of Xtreme DFC grips for another dbl bl nano. The stock plastic head works great. Precise and fun.

The plastic goodies that fit in the Lynx DFC grips make the blades fit a little tighter than some folks like but they fly fine. And they work with every blade that I have tried: Stock E-Flite, KDBB, 95mm Lynx and 85 mm Lynx.
I have not had a reason to disassemble my grips so I don't know if they are maintenance friendly. I checked last night and the feathering shaft is still straight although I have ruined 6 mainshafts. (note to self: Stop landing up-side-down!) Did you guys (any girls around?) know that tmarc sells two mainshafts for $2.38? I have been cutting my own mainshafts but I am going to try these hoping to get stronger parts.

bent the Lynx shaft finally
A huge crash onto hard clay finally bent a 1.5mm spindle. A big up-side-down splat onto clay did it. But it survived longer than 4 big gears, and 6 or 7 main shafts.
When you increase a diameter of material by 50% you increase the cross sectional area by 125%. You more than double strength. The same goes for the shaft in a wild brushless motor. See my post on a fix for those bent motor shafts. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=561349
