Agree with Andrew , my Trekker is the best bird in my fleet, especially with the head speed set to 1100 she sounds awesome.

Cant wait until the new one arrives here in the UK, it will be at the top of my shopping list.

Looking forward to seeing your build video Dino

Have been watching your build videos
Very nice of you to put the effort in to show the build.
If I may make a few suggestions

1) Please tell your viewers to review the assembly manual carefully before attempting to build.

2) Please instruct your viewers to thoroughly clean all screws with a proper solvent to remove any machine oil residue. or use a oil resistant locktite ( but still suggest cleaning.

3) Make some reference the step your working on to the manual.

There will be some who may not or do not fully understand the complete and entire building sequence .

CYA.... and might also be a wise idea to post a disclaimer.

I would think the last thing you would want is a flight failure and someone stating " But I built it exactly the way the ALIGN rep Dino showed.

Maidened my 800 today, WOW!!! this thing is amazing, flies great.

BTW, anyone notice Dino's deliberate mistake when he built the frames......

I know you did it on purpose to test us Dino.

Yup you fitted the middle bearing block upside down!!

Couldn't agree more with taking your time with building these big birds. The 800 Pro has been my best build to date, very similar to the 700 Pro and I enjoyed building that as well.

The new 800 is awesome and is a very different beast to my Trekker.

Keep up the good work Dino.

Just to throw out a Question. I think this bird is awesome, and have thought about ordering it. About the landing skids.. Was talking to Alan Szabo at IRCHA and he said peeps are giving mixed reviews on the skids. Either you like them or hate them. Funny thing, Im on the fence. Is there other options that will fit this bird? I thought I read that some guys were thinking that the Trekkers were to small..
Ok not criticizing, just asking! I think its a awesome Heli.

more to come

i regards to the skids could use the trekker ones but as i type this out and staring at the 800 the new skids are the bomb i have my 700 near it and will be calling to get the new style for it also change is hard but i think its cool i like to call them side force generators lol for long knife edge flight.

I've just fitted the 700dfc skids on mine, Razorback. I like the look better but will give the 'new skids' some time on also, to see if they 'grow' on me. The 700 skids were only $6 anyway and bolt straight on. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread...74#post5241874

@Dino,

Would you mind posting your Edge160 ESC settings?

Nice build Dino, I never realised that you now suggest to keep the tail blades fairly tight, I always have mine so they will fall with their own weight. I'll tighten them up and see how it goes.

Anyway for what it's worth here is my setup:
It's mainly stock but being a scale flyer I did make some changes to the kit and Raj at Align-Trex.co.uk was kind enough to swap the parts before I bought the kit.

So what I'm using is the red 800mx 440kv motor with a 10t pinion along with an adjustable motor mount, the mesh is perfect.

Also using the 800 Trekker main blades as I though these would be more stable at low head speeds, running her at around 1200rpm and she sounds sweet, at the moment I'm running the AR7200BX but this will be changed to the Vbar Silverline at some point.

Been flying her for the past two days, still dialling her in but so far I'm very impressed.
