Default ZYX-s problems!

hi Freaks, so i got a ZYX and im having a few issues with it. been battling these problems to no avail :/ so lets get the experts in!

1st off the tail is not responding all most at all, when moving the rudder the servo moves 10 degrees at most! have no idea why?

secondly im getting a lot of drift on my cyclic servos, not sure why?

and last off is at 0 throttle my motor is still spinning, the only way to stop it is to hit throttle hold!?

any help would be much appreciated!

ps im using a ar6210 receiver with a dx6i with soft 3D mode selected

thanks

Check all the endpoints on your tx including TC's.

Do you select 1 90 degree servo and remove all mixes?

Might just try setting up a new model and rebinding it.

Yup set at 1servo 90 degrees, already set up with new models with linear curves.

Did u set the tail stops in software? And linear curve on throttle is good but is the end point for throttle channel set high enough? What's the readings your getting in the software for the channels?

Messing a round with the tail travel adjusts and end points in the software made no difference :/ the throttle curve is completely linear from 0 to 100 as well as the pith curve

What about travel adjust in the Tx? You need to move the sticks to set both sides of the adjust.

Did you set your throttle range for the ESC? Don't know if this is standard for all ESC's, but after binding your RX to the TX, you need to turn on the TX and set the throttle stick all the way up, plug in the battery on the helo, and after a couple of beeps, move the throttle stick all the way down, then it will proceed through the normal initialization.

You have all your trims centered, including throttle (collective)?

I'm not sure id the tarot does what some other tail servos do, where if ur gain is too low you won't get full travel. In the trans screen on tarot software do you have it set for 36 on the gain channel?

1) Your ESC is plugged into the Rx directly, the ZYX has no way of seeing the throttle signal. Calibrate the ESC endpoints to see zero throttle with TH off and a throttle curve set to 0%.

2) Tail servo not moving... Is it plugged in correctly? Does it work if you plug it into the Rx directly? Did you set the travel endpoints on the ZYX? What about the ATVs for rudder on the Tx?

Default ZYX-s problems!

So I sorted the throttle issue by changing my throttle hold to 10%

The tail servo works perfectly is plugged directly into the rx but the problem persists when plugged into the zyx
I think the drift in the servos may be the gyro confused as I'm setting it up on a bench
Thought?

Your Tx endpoints are not right and/or your esc isn't programmed right if this is happening.

Servo selection correct for your type of tail servo? If the servo works in a normal RX it is most probably a 1520 microsecond 333Hz digital servo, make sure that is your selection in the setup.

How do you set throttle end points on my blade 450 esc?

First,
Go to travel adjust on Tx.
Go to throttle with throttle stick down and set for 100%.
Move throttle stick up and set for 100% (notice the arrow changes direction. This happens for all travel adjusts on DX6i)

Second,
Power up heli with throttle at max, wait for beeps.
Put throttle at min and wait for beeps.
Power down heli.

It has to be in this order and I put throttle trim all the way down. edit, check the blade 450 forum for more info on your esc.

Ex;
One model of mine (current one I powered up) has +/-100% throttle
Elev - 102%, +106%
Gyro +/- 100%
Aile left 110%, right 104%
Rudd left 106%, right 107%
Pitch - 105%, + 102%

Now not necessary to get this picky to start, all 100% should be fine starting but it is used, along with software on FBL unit, to get equilibriums.
