Default Xcell gremlin

My Xcell 60 is possessed. It’s a new to me heli with an OS70, Hatori sb-9, 401-9254, and two RX packs totaling 3400mAh. It flies like a butterfly for the first tank. The second Tank starts out fine but soon progresses into a nightmare. The tail will kick 90deg to the right and stop. Its totally random but will increase in frequency as the flight continues. I think I have narrowed it down some, tell me what you think.

The first thing I did was to replace the torque tube as the stock bearing holders would let the bearings loose inside the boom. New Tail blades (radix 105mm) were in order since the last time this happened I had a minor touch.

The gyro was a csm oldtimer and was replaced by the 401-9254 combo which is rock solid the first tank. JR 4131 servos reside on the control surfaces.

Yesterday it started its syndrome again. The torque tube was fine but I did notice on my battery monitor that any movement in the servos would cause a large voltage drop in the packs. The batteries aren’t new but have been cycled on every other charge.

My theory is: under load the servos will draw high amperage from the batteries causing a momentary glitch either in the rudder servo or the gyro.

My question: is 3400mAh enough in a large heli like the Xcell? I am working on a 4400mAh Sub C pack but its not here yet. Besides a new fromco system, what sort of RX packs do you guys run in your Xcells?

Just an update, seems like the problem has been solved. The Xcell sports a new Arizona Regulator and a 5200mAh Lithion battery system. Very nice, and no more tail wag! yea!
