Diabolo S Gathering 2016

How many of you around the world that own a Diabolo S that might be interested in getting together? Rob mention it on another thread that it would be fun if we could get together with Diabolo S owners from around the world. Maybe do this every two years in different locations. Just getting into speed running Myself I think it is a great idea. So I am starting this thread to see if we can get some interest. We would want to tie this gathering with a major speed event to also help promote racing. So if you got a Diabolo S or you just like this heli and want to met as a group jump in.
I am thinking that this could be a lot if fun. We could met a few days ahead of the event. We could setup all together as a group. Stay at the same hotels,go out to dinner together, setup a conference room at hotel at night. Maybe have a few guys talk about,speed flying,setup,battery,gear and so on. I thought we start in the USA year 2016 at IRCHA if we got interest. There are small group of a few guys now that attend but some here US and some in Europe. But it be fun to all met as a group together. If interest I would help setup the first gathering in the US. What to setup. Hotel,dinner, parties, travel to and from event, pre ship heli in for event. Charging station tables maybe rent a 20 X 40 tent to have setup at event so we can all be together at the speed trials. Like to make it as easy as we could to attend. This way you just pack your close, hop on a plane and the rest would setup. Someone else have to set this up for 2018 in Europe. This could realy be a lot of fun and a great place to learn from each other and make new friends. If you think you could attend starting 2016 at IRCHA list your name and I will start a list. No ideas are bad so feel free to list things you like to do together.

I'll start this off this year at The '15 IRCHA Speed Cup. Call it a trial run ;-).

Hotel: Days Inn Muncie, 3509 N Everbrook Ln Muncie, IN. (Justin Pucci and I are staying there)

Schedule:

Tuesday: Arrive at Muncie and relaxing. Drinks?
Wednesday: Speed Trialling Practice Day & hanging out at site 3. Early to sleep.
Thursday: Sportsman & Multi-rotor classes, and Super-8 racing. Hanging out at site 3. Early to sleep.
Friday: Pro-mod and Unlimited classes racing ending at ~3PM at site 3. Big group dinner and drinks.
Saturday: See the venders and watch 3D flying. Group get together at the main site?
Sunday: travel home.

I will have a 10x10' tent, a small table, charging station, and a couple of chairs, near site 3.I am not hosting, so bring more chairs :-) I am willing to coordinate plans. I just can't provide an unknown amount of food & drinks.

Justin is going to be busy helping run the Speed Cup. I'm planning on pitching in when & where needed. It would be great if the Speed Cup is a social event as much as it is a competition for those that think 200km/h feels slow.

I'm totally on board with this idea! I'll be at 2015 IRCHA all week, but spending most of my time at site 3 for the Speed Cup up until Friday afternoon. Put my name on the list for sure!

I will be at IRCHA competing in the speed event as well as 3D hope to see you guys there. I am excited that there will be many more competitors in the unlimited class and I will be glad to see more Diabolo's!

Sweet you were added on the list before I posted it from us talking. Can't wait to met ya, were going to have a blast. If you got any ideas please Jump in. I will provide a charging station and my tools and a place for you to hang out at.
If all goes well I have my enclosed trailer by then too. Hoping we can set some records then.


This should really boost the numbers of S guy running for records. I plan to be. Running a Canopy Diabolo in stock class too. Thx Tom

Thank you very much for your sweet offer to hang around your camper. I am hoping to have my enclosed trailer also by then. We can pit together that would be great. i can supply my generator and 4 chargers so for the out of town guys don't need to bring that.
