I just found, that from the beginning, from my first flight, my swash was bad, it always had a bind in the collective, I could never find the source of the binding, well it got so bad it finely showed up in the cyclic too, so I tried another swash from my other kit, it was like night and day,,, all binding is now gone,,,

well she now flies better than she ever has !! she flies better, smoother than I ever thought she could,,, what a heli...

everyone should own a Century !!

I do own one!
I dont know for how long though.

How can I make that wire drive work as well as everyone insists that it does?

I went to the bigger wire per SteveH but I still get wind up.

More Delay? I never have flown the wire drive so i can't really help you.
The delay made a big difference on my E-raven when I had to go to a standard servo

I dont have a delay adjustment.

I am using a CSM 200 HH gyro and JR 8700G servo.

That combo costs more than the heli!!

I'll bet she'll fly with a GY 240 and a standard servo
Can you run a standard servo on the CSM?

Ray, hopefully, you won't fly yours for two years, before you just happen to notice, the swashplate is binding!

good one Al,,, this just goes to show just how good these Century helis do fly !!

Bart,,, it's my Falcon,,, I checked everything 1 by 1, it all was very smooth, but once I connected it all together I had a slight bind in the collective, but it was no worry for my 4721 servo, the heli always flew quite exceptionally smooth with great responds, better fliers than Al flew it and liked it !!, then all of a sudden one day she started to feel a little squirrely on the cyclic stick, she just wasn't flying as well as she always had, so I knew what to look at, so I popped of the collective linkage at the servo and I found the bind had become quite bad, so i checked everything and I found the swash binding,,, anyway,,, Al can pick on me, that's Ok, because I flew her again today and she flies fantastic !!

Bart,,, the guy in the link said his Raptor flew smoother than his Hawk, but after all it should, it's a more expensive heli with thrust bearings and k-s paddles,,,

other than that I really don't get what Al's trying to get at, I haven't said anything about or against the Raptor, I was simply cheering for my side !!

guys,,, my friend is NO 3D pilot (so you probably got him there), he flies FAI style only, he has been flying RC helis for 21 years this year, his control is amazing, he likes the Falcon's rotor head, but he sees no reason for the Falcon's 2 extra transmission gears (I agree there), this other guy I fly with had his 2 Raptors at the field today, I have to say I like it's control system, some day I will have another Raptor, but I love how smooth my Falcon is...

I think he means the power train. My Century stuff doesn't have many gears in the rotorhead. Jim , this is why your guy flys them, not designs them.likes the falcon rotorhead but sees no reason for it's 2 extra gears
