Gain config on Spektrum

Does anyone know how to configure gain using Spektrum satellites and DX9. I have my gear channel set to gyro with 60% and 100%. I'm not sure it changes anything tho. Unit fly's great setup to Trex 450. Tail is rock solid, can hover unassisted with low wind. Just very little experience with the rate settings...

You have to max out your gyro gain in the TX until you see a value of 100 in light numbers on a black backround. In my radio I have to go all the way negative to see the black background appear. I toggle to 96 to lower the gain a little to fly IU2 at 3552 headspeed. High headspeeds require lower gains because everything reacts so much quicker.
