Spare parts order
Well, I put in an order for spares. While I love the Gaui, it is not a Trex so I am not tripping over places to get spare parts.
I have a set of FG blades already and my old skids that I patched with the JB weld already. How does this look? 1 x GAUI HURRICANE 550 MAIN SHAFT PACK (G-204536) = $5.95 1 x HURRICANE 550 MAIN GRIP SET (G-204529) = $4.95 1 x HURRICANE 550 SPINDLE SHAFTS PACK (G-204531) = $3.95 1 x HURRICANE 550 REAR MAIN GEAR (61T) (G-204022) = $3.95 1 x HURRICANE 550 TAIL GRIPS SET (G-204550) = $4.95 1 x HURRICANE 550 TAIL BOOM SUPPORTS (G-204557) = $5.95 1 x HURRICANE 425 TAIL BOOM (G-204193) = $4.95 I hope this will help keep me in the air. Anything else that I may need that I may have problems getting when I need it?

...Looking good!
Remember, the X5 tail grips are very good too and are a direct bolt on part

Who has the 425 tailboom in stock?
I'm actually going to most likely go with the 550 tailboom upgrade but just curious any rate. |

you might want to get the X5 rear 61T main gear G-208903. You get 2 pcs for 7$.
I agree with PTcaflyer about the X5 tail grips. It is a must upgrade. You might also want some decent tail blades. cheers,

Front main gear, OWB & OWB shaft. I really like the lifted look of T-Rex 600 skids, for what it's worth.
Don't forget allerc.com. They almost always ship same day if you order by 3:00 PM and since they're local to the Phoenix metro area, my stuff always shows up next day for $4.95. If I had time, I could even go pick stuff up. You may notice that Empire and AlleRC seem to share inventory & database. Just sayin'. They're both great. Between my 425, X2 and 255, I've spent about $900 bucks there since May. Never a problem with an order and great service. I'll second the X5 tail grips. I just put a set on last night and they are soooo smooth. Best nineteen bucks I've spent. --Elisabeth

Just get a new basic kit if you can still get one of the $80 ones. The swash alone is worth $50. (only if you can resist temptation to build the new kit up)
I could not resist hand had to get a 3rd kit that stays boxed for spares. I only used the canopy from #3, build up and in white base paint awaiting inspiration. if you really want a few extras I'd say get a main shaft, main+ grip bearings, tail bearings, spindle shaft, and spindle shaft screw set. Also HK600 skids are superb. Leave the rest as spare change in your pocket. Odds are pretty big you will never unpack the little spares bags in your life if you heavily stock up.

My spares kit just arrived, but I used them all putting it back together.
I do have 1 spare OWB, front and rear main bearing. Good thing I ordered a new shaft for the OWB, clearly the old one is worn down. That's really surprising, although I could see how it does I guess... |
