Too many threads and posts to sift through. If you do a "regular" search of the open forum on HF, use the terms "ground" and "boom", there will be loads of threads with lots of information on this.

I never did a ground mod to the 450 as it never really needed it with a metal boom block and CF frames. At least I had no static issues. I know some that needed it however. See my Logo 500 and Protos build videos for examples of how to ground the boom.

I just joined the forum. I'm learning a lot here. I have blade MSR and 120SR. I just recently bought a used TREX450 SE, my first collective pitch helicopter. I have a DX6i and wondering if anybody could give me a detailed settings so that it will fly close to 120SR. I want to tame it to be easy for me. I haven't try hovering it yet. I'm still familiarizing myself with the mechanics of this helicopter and practicing with Phoenix flight sim. I will appreciate any help you could give me.

Hi and welcome. You should ask your question in the Trex450 forum. This area is about my videos. The 450 forum is where everyone hangs out to discuss and help each other with a 450. Go here and ask you will get much more responses.

Buy that separately and put Tri-flow in it. There's all kinds of places to get "precision applicators" from medical supply to auto parts. Some light machine oils are sold in the bottle like he has in the video. But as he clearly says, you can just use Tri-flow on everything. Tri-flow squeeze bottles and aerosol both come with small plastic tubes like WD-40.

Most hobby stores that are big into RC Cars carry that oil bottle with the needle tip. That is where I got mine.

The oil I am using these days is 100% food grade Silicon oil. Again basically RC shock oil. It wont eat at rubber and plastics. It's not great for bearings but does work and runs really clean rather than some oils that turn everything black. Some folks think using silicon oil on bearings is not the best but over a year now of use and no issues here.
