Default Heads up on customs impound - US

On some batteries that I purchased on the 14th I believe there was a boilerplate message that the shipping facility was being moved so there would be a slight delay.

No problem but when the batteries did ship they were not described resulting in non-clearance at customs which led to some of the most humorous discussions with FedEx that I had in a long time. In fact, it was impossible to get irritated when the nice lady in Buffalo explained that my stuff was getting sent back to Saigon (She also thought Hong Kong was in Japan but that's neither here nor there). Naturally, anything I told her didn't "take" so yesterday I get a call from another FedEx agent in MO who was satisfied with "rechargeable" (seems I gave Buffalo lady too much information).

I think everything is back on track.

Point being - I doubt I was alone. I'd guess there's a reasonable likelihood that anybody that bought batteries during the relocation shutdown will find them impounded until Revo gets to new shipping guy at the new shipping location and explains how the cow ate the cabbage.

So, check your tracking numbers - if there's a big red notification warning of the zombie apocalypse you'll need to take action - lest your batteries go back to Saigon.

Just as an update the batteries showed up accompanied by a 20.00 invoice from FedEx for what I take to be "gratuitous pain and agony".

But hey! They showed up in 6S rather than the 7S that I ordered.

There's still some blurb on the site about moving facilities and it's an axiom in the business world that moving is the next best thing to having a fire. Hopefully they'll have it sorted soon.

Just as an update, they've come through like gangbusters.

I wish I could do as well after a relocation.
