Ahhh so it's only the 160 that's 7a and 20a, thought it was odd when I read it on K's website.

I mean I plugged my lipo's in first then I waited a little while then plugged the buffer pack in. Is there any set sequence I should be doing with this or not. Can the buffer be plugged in first or am I doing things correct?
I've just had a chance to look at some of my flight logs from yesterday in Excel. The first entry shows the BEC voltage at the 8v I set with the progdisk. No sign of the BEC starting at 5.6v and then reverting to the user set value. I think MrMel might be referring to when you plug the Progdisk in and it is booting when you see 5.6v. Logs are recorded every 0.1secs.

I have been plugging in my buffer pack first, verifying Vbar and servo operation is OK and then I plug in the flight pack. Another interesting observation was the highest peak amps on the BEC was around 6A. Highest motor amps peaked at 199A. RPM's is in the 114000 range. HS is calculated by dividing this number by 7 (half the motor pole count) and then dividing that number again by 9.722 (the pinion/main gear ratio).

What you using for a buffer pack Jays and also how do I view my logs from the Kosmik?

I downloaded a program but the files are incompatible? plus the device is not listed.

G'day Ben,

I can't remember if it was on HF or RR but somebody mentioned a 2S, 250mAh, 25C TP buffer pack and that is what I'm using. It cost $13 and weighs about 20g. I use a Deans to connect.

As for viewing the log ATM, I'm just using Excel at this stag with the semi colon tab checked. I'm no excel expert by any stretch and the logs are about 9000 entries long from plugging in the buffer pack to the final motor off. 10 entries are made per second. I have started a new thread about graphical viewing help.

I heard that Kosmik 200 BEC max Amps was increased from 20A to 30A because one of testing pilots used BLS157HV and 20A was not enough. But no one guarantee you a trouble free operation.

I used bls157hv on jive it worked on vbar but volt drop too low on ac3x and caused crash.

I guess kosmik should be ok

I dont know why, but with AC-3X i experience high voltage drops on Kosmik BEC too. From 5.6V down to 4.6xV on AC-3X display. In Kosmik log is lowest BEC voltage 5.4V. May be that cables between RX and AC-3X are not best. With VStabi i do not have these high drops on unit side. With AC-3X i get 50% higher current peaks than with VStabi.

Let us know please!!!

Swalko i think this is due to 2 reasons, 1 pcb design, 2 frame rate servo is driven at, 3 the recommend short servo arms 16mm i had to wind up settings a lot to get it snappy! Thats when voltage dropped and crashed with the jive and these hungry servos

I'm running 156's on my Kosmik, no problems...I'm seeing a steady BEC voltage throughout the flight. As far as power hungry, IMO, they use less power than a standard servo. My average power consumption for a flight is about 250-280 mah.

Got my card. I have not looked at any of the files yet as Im on a Mac. I have 22 .DAT files which I can send someone to open and look at. Only had 2 flights so I guess the others are when I was doing set ups etc??
