Default Strange happenings

My last flight of the day on my l700 ended before even taking off. Went to spool up, the usual smallish kick and it was followed by a rattling noise. Spool up aborted.

It appears one of the swash to main grip ball links had popped out (very strange ) and with the rotation have caught on the swash drivers bending them.

I have put approx. 15 flights on the l700 without any issue. I ran basically the identical electronics setup on my ballistic with the same kick on spool up and never had this happen..

Has anyone else experienced this before?

With the L700 ball link, it can be deceptive at times as it can look like it is in but in reality it is not really secured. You have to really push it tight until you hear a click and then try and pull it out firmly to ensure it is fully locked in.

Yeah I had both pop was sure they were on good, anyway now preflight everytime luckily the hex bolt kept them on! I'm thinking to turn them around so they pop inwards rather than out if they do!

I think I might try your idea of flipping them around.

Btw, I was able to bend the swash driver arms back into shape - straight. I've ordered replacements but they look and feel like they would still do the job?

Nope never had that happen in the 50 something flights I have on mine..

One thing that comes to mind is if you ever used standard ball link pliers the balls may be damaged and will eat up links. Had to custom grind a size large set of ball link pliers.
