Default Blade 200 SRX Tx compatability?

So I downloaded the manual to check to see what the settings would be on my DX6i

http://www.bladehelis.com/ProdInfo/F...-Manual_EN.pdf

As far as I can tell, the DX6i isn't listed.

I won't be buying a new radio just to fly this.

Looking at the Bind-N-Fly site shows this...

http://www.bindnfly.com/#compatibility

This is indicating it would be compatible.

Should be basic enough to figure out seeing as how its just a little fixed pitch heli. i couldn't imagine that any part of setting this bird is even remotely hard to do.

Any of the Spektrum transmitters DX5e and "higher" will work though with the DX6i may have limited functionality. You don't need a computer transmitter, but it doesn't hurt anything either.

Most models equipped with SAFE, have 3 flight modes. The DX6i only has a two position flight mode switch, so it's a little more complicated to allow it to enter AS3X (no bank angle limit) mode but it is possible.

What are the chances of flying the 200 SRX with a Devo 7e/Deviation? Only two 2-position switches. Maybe the fine folks at deviation.com will figure it out.

You'd have to do some sort of Spektrum hack to make it work, but I've read that it can be done.

I don't think the spektrum Rx in this is going to be any different than the dozen or so that are out now that deviation will bind to. You might have to run through a setup real quick to make sure it is all working properly first. It's not hard to learn and is a skill you will need sooner or later anyway if you move up past BnF helis or crash one.

Default Blade 200 SRX Tx compatability?

The Tx setup is Acro mode, I think for ease of safe mode switching. But like with the nano cpx, people will find a way to transfer it into heli mode.

The Tx is comes with looks just like what came with the SR! But for safe mode.

It's funny, HH didn't publish msrx settings either, had to create our own.

Guys have made the DX6i work with DJI Naza .

I just remembered the Nano QX only came with ACRO settings. Took no time for some sweet HELI settings to appear.

Figuring this out should not be hard for the great minds on this forum (me excluded).

Seems like my concerns were unfounded!!

The 180QX uses the gear and mix switch to go between 3 modes on the DX6i. I am sure they will do the same for the 200.

Default dx6i has no 3 way switch

Sure glad I bought a dx6i in March since they told me it would work with the 200 SR x when I ordered it. IT DOES NOT! No 3 way switch on a dx6i and no way to add one with the circuitry it has, so I am told by hobbytown. Even Blade's sight says any DSMX transmitter will work but they fail to tell you only on a limited basis. NOT HAPPY, wouldn't have purchased the dx6i otherwise and am ticked that I spent $135.00 for a transmitter on their advice that doesn't fully work. Is this a regular thing in the RC world?

It does work. Just takes a bit more effort.
