Now trying to get help/guidance on Electric or Gas, Which Servos..etc..
I run Futaba 9252s on both of my Panteras. I'm debating upgrading to metal gear HV servos on the Panteras and using the 9252s in the plane. That would also allow me to move the Arizona regulator from my nitro over to the plane although then I'll need to run a 5v regulator for my 9254 tail servo.. I think the GY401 can do 6VDC.

mmmmm.

Dark side? Not at all. Airplanes are great fun. In fact, I have more fixed wing models in my stable than rotary wing. Hard to believe, but true. Anyway, a Chipmunk is a great flying model. I once had the Carl Goldberg version (64" wingspan) powered by an OS91 and simply loved it. If this is a clone of that model, then S9252servos will be just fine. Also, I'd run them with a 6V pack.
