I did with my first one years ago - rather enemic. I almost sold the heli as I thought it rather a disappointment, until someone at a funfly lent me his 5 cell 3700mah FlightPower pack.

Wow, what a difference! .... like having a car with standard steering, standard brakes and a small four banger (which will get you around the patch OK but....), into a nimble one with a V6 that puts a happy grin on your face.

I flew my swift16 on 8s a123 for 400plus flights with a 600plus motor on a 9 pinion, with castle esc.about 2100 hs and 3 min 20 sec flights..very close to my 6s packs for power even with the extra weight.i flew 530 carbon blades.

Yes, the Swift will fly relatively well on an 8S configuration of A123 cells, but not so on a 6S A123 pack.

I found a big improvement in fying and in flight times when I went from 8S A123's to 6S/3700 Lipo packs. Mostly due to the weight difference and better mah ratings, I believe.
