We've aimed to make a unit with a long upgrade path and a bit different than the various competitors. So it has hardware goodies well beyond just Sat-RX ports, not all of which will be obvious at first. We also took notes of what people asked for, so for example it has a port for a remote LED, built-in USB, and horizontal servo ports. Getting all the new features to work in one tiny box took way longer than we thought it would though.

If you're an SK360 user, you will be able to convert your existing setup files easily, and it works with the SK-LCD terminal (after a firmware update to the terminal).

The price is yet to be determined (sorry). Availability, sometime this fall - it's in testing now, the hardware for the unit is finalized and flying.

i am curious to see how the bank switching works with just the satellites connected.and will we be able to have one bank for hard 3d and one bank with the bailout enabled.may be just what i need to try those pesky piro flips im so scared of

Art, I am starting to look at flybarless systems and all the new stuff coming out, and I gotta ask a tough question, does it share any codebase with the sk360? Can we expect further development on the 360, or is it considered stable enough and will go in maintenance mode only?

Except for piro compensation, the flybarless code is almost identical to the SK360's.

The SK360 will get at least one more update, which will include bell self-tuning and an option to not use the mode switch (auto setup mode when connected to the LCD or USB dongle). Those update features are already working but were never fully tested.

when you say self tuning,do you mean it will maximize flight performance itself?i am assuming the 720 will be the same way.

I am moist with anticipation for this new controller.... was actually looking at the mini v-bar but didn't want to go to the dark side. Plus, it's too expensive.
