4g3 tail problems
Okay got some wierd stuff going on with a 4g3. First off the tail motor itself when connected to another esc spins so it is operational. The tail brushless esc i can get to initialize "sometimes" but even when initialized it will not spin the motor. Also i bought a brand new 2605 thinking the tail motor signal channel was bad as before i could get the esc to initialze and respond to input to spin the motor. By plugging the tail esc in any channel on the rx i can get it to beep but that is it. When plugged into the tail motor signal channel it does nothing. Does any one have any ideas? (i think it is the ESC but not sure)

I'm using the 2,9g motor aswell on my 4G3. Motor arms when applying some throttle so that the heli is turning. Seems like the ESC needs some input from the gyro to arm.
Otherwise, no problems with it so far, even on my 4#3b it works the same. (both helis using RX2605A) Doesn't help you, but I have no idea what your problem might be, and I guess everyone else too. |

Hi Guys!
Good to see some people are still flying the good old 4g3. As far as the rudder channel on the 2605A is concerned, it is a mixed output of throttle and gyro. To arm the tail esc it needs to see a "throttle closed" signal. This only occurs with the Main motor channel in the fully closed positon and the heli stationary. Try -10% on the throttle hold to arm it. If all else fails, plug a servo into the rudder channel and check if it moves all the way to the "throttle closed" position. Best Regards, DYC |
