Default Main blade bolts

Just an FYI post,

My main blade bolts have been getting progressively more difficult to install and I thought it might have been because of a crash. I put the verniers on them and found the thread was a bit larger on one than the other. Over time this has caused some burring on the blade grips themselves and the blade spacers.

Well, I went to my specialist bolt supplier today to get some new ones and here's what I found. The bolts provided by Mikado in the Xxtreme kit are a standard bolt BUT Mikado have cut approximately 12mm (1/2") off them. It would appear that on one of mine this has caused a slight burring of the shortened bolt end and subsequent "damage" to the blade grip and spacers. When you look at the end of the Mikado supplied nuts you can clearly see the cut marks.

Here's a photo of old verses new bolts

BTW, four new high tensile bolts and Nyloc nuts was the sum total of $4.20
