Default XXTREME700 + VBARCONTROL

Hi,

I'm using the VBARctrl on the XXtreme recently and getting used to it. Now the feature of measuring live vibrations is awesome, however the heli comes down with max vibs of 2000 ?? Running on the bench I have 100-140 without blades. While hovering it hits 200 which is good, but I wonder where the 2000 comes from. Can it be normal while flying 3D ? Anybody has the same figures ?

Regards

Kurt

I do not know my exact vibration levels, but i have gotten a warning, inside the log, that vibration levels are high. I believe the high vibrations come from head speed changes.
Are switching headspeeds in flight?

On my 700 during sharp 3d moves I can top out at 2500-2900 ish for a max value.
Typically during a hard stop or a bouncy auto.

As long as your not hitting 200 in hover your good.

silverline on my 700.

Might be worth checking if the canopy touches the sensor on the back plate or not.

Also if you have a newer 700 frame with the stacked 1mm frames , the plate can be a loose fit , make sure it's secure. A bit of epoxy or shoe goo to secure if need be

I get raised vibes all the time , when I'm hard on it i'll get extreme vibe warnings with the triangle.

Martin

Thanks for the reply guys ! So, I guess It's not that bad at all. During hoover I'm between 100 and 150 on all headspeeds. I fly F3N figures which includes some 3D moves and have some "raised" vibrations. I glued the plate where the silverline sensor is mounted. We will check if the canopy touches...

Regards,
/ Kurt

When you spool up on the ground with blades on or when you land they can spike up like that. If they are low when you fly you should have no problems.

I see similar results. Hard cyclic shakes it good.

Uli has stated that high and extreme vibration levels during 3D maneuvers are to be expected and are not a problem. Primarily use the analyzer to evaluate vibration levels on the bench and in a stable hover.
