Might be easier to tally up what's not broken.

Ok, ok, maybe i won't get bored hehe.

Right now, i think the Prôtos 500 is HUGE compared to my B450.. I just can't think what a 700 would be like...

Well the Protos 500 seems pretty small compared to my 550E.

It feels half the size, uses half the battery etc.

Most noticably it doesn't make anywhere near the ROAR which makes it seem a lot smaller.

I am however flying it behind my house which is something I wouldn't dare do with my 550E.

It's all relative...

Before my protos the biggest heli I had was a T-250.... the Protos seemed HUGE.

Then just last month I got a T-Rex 600 EFL pro... now it's funny, the Protos looks like a tiny toy. I picked up my T-Rex 250 the other day and it's actually fascinating how small it is, to think that was once my "big" heli... amazing.

now that ive had a 90, everything else is tiny. A 500 is nothing compared to the size of a 700 and doesnt fly anything like one. There is a reason people fork out the cash for the bigger helis

There is a reason I skipped from a 100 series to a 550 series and have a 700 series on order and went back and built a 500 series

OK, maybe some of it was ignorance...

If I wasn't so determined to beat the crap out of my 550E, I might have stuck with it as I learn to fly 3D heli.

Is there anymore information regarding a "larger" Protos? I don't know how much longer I'll be able to get parts for my beloved Outrage 550. Matt

I have a 550 outrage also. FBL swash and head and chicken lips custom aluminum front tail drive pulley. I think you will be suprised as how long parts are going to be available as helidirect keeps getting them in. As a matter of fact even the "discontinued" Outrage G5 which was removed from the helidirect site has re appeared in a carbon only flybar kit. The only hard part to find for the 550 is the original one way bearing assembly (housing) Outrage has finaly learned that the fusion 50 assembly does not work on the 550 or even the velocity so you should see the correct housing soon also. HOWEVER my protos 500 stretch is being built as I write this. The perfect size between my stretched protos (2 of them) and my beloved outrage 550 fbl with beastx. All my helis are fbl with beastx. If msh gives us a 700 protos I will be first in line if the ALLES rc rush 750 doesnt push my buttons. I am leaning away from bellcranks simply for convienence but fbl the bellcranks do save servos!

A small tasty morsel to keep us on the hook? You don't want us to go spending our money on someone else's heli do you? ;~)

Would even sets of stickers for all posters in this thread do?

Especially if stickers are with '600/700 size Protos is coming! MSH'

I'd be happy for about an inch more on the stretch kits. That way we can use COMMON blades instead of being locked into SABs @ 470. That one inch could cover 500mm spinners instead of one blade selection. What if SAB discontinued the 470mm line?

Anyone increased the stretch kit to swing 500s? Boom and belt would get it done. Might be time to break out the calipers again with nothing new on the horizon for a while.

You also have Edge 473 blades. And Spin Blades 465.

I was looking for good blades but I'll check into them. Appreciate the suggestion. Personally I'd rather swing a more common size in a Radix so thought I'd ask. Sorry for the OT.

Edge are very fine blades, as the SAB's. I don't believe Radix should be better...

IIRC, Radix blades aren't made in any size between 430mm and 600mm.
