Default New runway + plastic skids= heli ski

My local club just replaced the runway yesterday and it's so much fun to fart around with my 300! I don't usually auto this thing and the disk loading is super light being a stretch plus heading into the winds caused some unwanted flaring and crashes but it's fun! Tried it with the goblin and trex 500 and they don't work well due to skid design and weight.

300x high speed landings and crashing (1 min 41 sec)

Haha I used to do that with my 130 in the street but it was murder on the skids on pavement. This antiweed mesh is smooth. Did several packs just high speed landings with it.

That's cool! Looks like lots of fun. My buddy and I used to fool around sometimes by landing back-first sliding with front of skid dragging trails on the dirt for a few feet at the baseball diamond. We don't fly at baseball diamonds any more but I use the skill to baby-auto my Protos w/o OWB. What an irony I have OWB on my 300X but not on my Protos. lol My 300X free-spins much longer than my 500!

Baby-auto at the end:
My Stretched Protos Testing Samsung S4 Home-Made Cap-Cam Mount (6 min 20 sec)

My Stretched Protos with New Main and Tail Blades Flying Old Turnigy Pack (4 min 19 sec)

Nice spot landing on both! I usually land pretty hard with little head speed left when I play around. Tho running the radix blades now I can do them higher. Did some fast ones and tipped over a few weeks ago so I just kill it around 10 feet or so now.

Here's the tore up old runway and some bumpy landings

Trex 500 landings (0 min 48 sec)

That's why I hate skid dampeners, why the heck would you put em on when you can auto in and slide a long ways with the speed

You kind of have to run them tho on the align mulit piece skids like what my 500 runs or the only thing that touches the ground is the plastic front and rear brackets. All plastic skids tho its not needed.

I wish these guys would produce these metallic skid nuts in different sizes. I'd really like a set for my X5 but these won't fit on my 7mm skid pipes. I sent them an email once asking if they would and never got a response. Anyways, these would be ideal for doing sliding autos on pavement.
