Sand storm man has my vote the static alone from sand hitting against the the bird would put me off of trying to fly it.

I give my vote to Brian, although it's a bit of a "sand-storm in a trex copy"!!

LOL @ Dier...I hadn't even thought of that. You guys should see the static sparkling in a rotor system under NVG's when flying in sandy dusty environments. I can't access youtube from here at work, but I'm sure there's some video out there somewhere.

Osprey's are especially cool looking under NVG's with the static.

Worse than the static was the crap building up on my tail output shaft. Was causing my pitch slider to bind and thus made my tail servo work overtime. I was getting 5-6 min of hovering max out of a Kong in normal mode before I notcied the problem.

I dunno it's a toughie isn't, I would win on artistic merit with the graceful swooping motion that planted my heli in the tree but I think that ought to be a sub category.
Pure nuttyness in the face of adversity, is what the judges will be looking for here,
The triumph of irresponsible childish enthusiasm in the face common sense
What makes it all the more poigniant is that apart from Jonny and Grant we are all pretty much middle aged......

Isn't it wonderful

I think my vote has to go to DierWolfs bro.... CRASH Fix Fix Fix CRASH Fix Fix Fix
CRASH Fix Fix Fix CRASH Fix Fix Fix CRASH

Yes I nominate DierWolfs Brother for this months coveted

Golden Bannana Award

I didn't quite understand that as well. It's an actual T-Rex. Though the battery that came with the kit sucks ass and is prone to puffing, so I use it only for practicing hovering nose in, the motor and esc get hot and I'm already thinking of upgrading to the scorpion ESC/motor Dier and Grant put in their EXI's, so and before Dier says 'I told you so, you should have bought an EXI'....just shut up.

As for my bird being 'Knackaard up', if that means 'covered in shit'..then yes it is.
If it means 'broken', then...

Main rotor disintegrated-replaced
Tail blades gone- replaced
Flybar 90 degree bend on one side-bent it back straight
Main Shaft 45 degree bend- replaced
Dampeners chewed up and spit out- replaced with the V2 large dampeners

Had it back flying again in 20 min

Good news was...typical ESky crash of same proportion would have also yielded
new main gear
new tail output shaft
feathering shaft
landing gear
new canopy
new tailboom

so I count myself lucky

My vote still goes to Brian!!!!!!!

ps, went out in the drizzle to give the bird a try - like the CNC head; but need a couple more tests to get the setup correct. Then, will put the HH gyro on. This is fun [again!!!!!!!!!!]

Yeah...I'm thinking wd-40 to clean it, then re-lube them. I hadn't realized just how bad it was looking till I got it back to my room, and out of the sand.

Leaving the sand in the links as they are kinda tight from being new. Going to let them work in a bit....heheh

Well I bought one of those 'ball hole sizing tools' from helidirect which is supposed to be for a t-rex, It might work on enlarging a scrotum, but it does nothing for a t-rex,

I should have heeded the caution someone else posted there in the review. Often you can't blindly believe what everyone posts when reviewing things cause, well...there's a lot of dumb people in the world. But he was 100% correct...even with the screw in the end turned in as far as it will go, it doesn't spread the cutters enough to do anything when you put it in a link.

Waste of money.

My vote goes against the sand storm - i mean flying in a normal storm is worse
Flying in the wind makes your eyes water so much you cant see the heli, flying in a sand storm blasts that water straight off your eye balls so you can see again
Or just plast your eyes out, not sure which one
