Sarah,

Did you keep the GP900 or switched to other gyro? If you kept it, how did you resolved the tail slider moving on its own?

Having lots of "fun" with mine. Geeeez!

Thanks

Hey felix,

I did not keep mine I put a futabe 520 on it. I was never able to solve that problem, and I think it is the worst gyro in the world. It was so bad I could not even sell it for 30 dollars at the hobby shop. I ended up giving it away to some newbie trying to fly. He gave it back to me two weeks later, because he hated it. I have since misplaced it and probably will have zero effort in finding it.

Sarah,

I can't believe it, I got it working OK ! Maybe I was lucky to get one of the few that actually works. Right now I'm flying it with a WFLY 2.4 RX/Tx until the Futaba RX arrives. Hope it goes just as good with it as it has with the WFLY.

Cheers

Cool With some help from above.

Ok, this is what I "think" made it work.

Connected the gyro sens. to a dial pot. (knob, as opposed to a fixed switch)
This way I can dial-in the gain from rate to HH.

Made ALL the gyro adjustments in rate mode.

In the adjustments phase the travel limits were made via the rudder stick as per the instructions. (it took me a while getting used to the concept.) Get into the programming mode going all the way to travel adjust and then:
stick left until desired travel position, center stick and wait till the red flashes twice
same procedure to the right.
And of course all of the other stuff...... anti-torque rotation, placement, ect. But the whole move the stick thing I guess is what did it.

It's currently traditionally wired (the two triple-colored cables) to a WFLY Rx as the Futaba
has not arrived yet. Hope this is not short-lived, as we know Futaba is somewhat moody stuff.

Got the Futaba Rx installed. Nice one-wire from SBus to Gyro. Did the usual throttle channel reverse, adjusted servos and re-did curves. Presto !

Wow that is super neato, your the first I have seen to actually get that silly thing to work correctly. I literally have gone away from Align gyros, they just are not dependable for me. It is good to see that they are working excellent for you. I wish you well in all your flying times.
