Default Dead Apprentice 15e

Well I was hammering on the plane today in high rate pulling out of a tight loop and I saw the vertical stabilizer fold over and then fell off.I actually gained control for a couple of seconds but it rolled over and went vertical for the ground at a fast rate. What a rush, dislocated the motor and battery, broke the tail off or what was left, cracked the wing and almost split in two in front of the cabin behind the fire wall. Located a Fun Cub later today and will build it installing servos, receiver and motor from the Apprentice, well I wanted flaps anyway so it will happen sooner now.

I feel your pain, I tried to maiden my stryker today, and crashed 3 times while launching, broke the nose cone off, and bent the prop on the 3rd try

Anyhow all fixed and ready to go.

I currently fly a HZ Champ, love it - would love to fly the Stryker like I do the Champ.

How is the Apprentice? I was gonna get a Super Cub LP, but the LHS did not have any BNF, besides I did not want to buy different battery packs, I have a bunch of 2200 mAh from my Trex 450, and did not care for the rubber bands on the wing

Default Apprentice was Good

The Apprentice was fun but it lands at a pretty good speed so it takes a good amount of space.3200mah li po is the recommended battery and the plane wants to fly fast but I want to slow it down and if I did it over would add flaps for the limited landing site where I fly.I think the Fun Cub will fit the needs and it recommends a lower mah bat. and so not sure yet if my 3200's will be usable but with the Apprentice 15 motor it will move along when I want it to and should land on a postage stamp. Check out the Fun Cub for a high wing flyer my next plane. Check out some U-Tube video of these cub's being flown by bush pilots in Alaska, amazing.
