Just make sure you have something to offset the links coming off the blade grips and that's it.

Plastic head block on a 600 holds up ok?

So is the logo 400 flybarred head block the same as a logo 600 flybarred head block?

600DX was a plastic head as many 600's still are.
400 and 600 are(were) same head block, different spindle, bearings and grips.

HeadBlock is the same. During the years the original headblock became a little stronger, you could see it in the difference between the 600 headblock (old version) and the 400 headblock (new version).

The 600 fly's most of the time with 690 Spinblades, 12S lipo, 1500/1700 RPM HeadSpeed, 1700 with camera and mount (approx. 2,5Kg extra weight). It's been fine for many years and hundreds of flights.
But why should it not hold? It holds normally on a 600-3D, and the block even has to swing an extra flybar.

Kind regards,
Aldert

Yes, you are right.

But this machine does not swing 690 mm, it swings 600 mm at 1200 RPM, flying with 6S 3700/4000 lipo's. It's a very very low weight machine, but power enough to do a little 3D.

Longer bolts in the bladegrips, with a homemade bushing. Also adjusted the length of the links. Nothing more, it's a real "poor-mans" FBL head. For me also to try FBL (had spare parts laying around), but I kept the machine this way, also made the next one's the same way.

kind regards,
Aldert

I was thinking about using this on my logo 500 for better disk loading since the logo 600 grips and spindle are wider.

Be carefull running 550 mainblades with 92 tailblades.. they could hit.

But, increasing rotor disk area will decrease diskloading..
