Question extending servo wires/ extending vbar wires

Kind of a Random question but I fly Mikado so I figured would ask the community here :

Is it ok to just extend the wires to a new connector ie soldering the two wires together to make an extension?

Or is it necessary to open the servo and solder out the entire wire and replace the entire wire? What is recommended? If the performance would still be the same I would rather just extend the wires rather than messing with the servo board.

Also what if on a Fullsize vbar the wires become frayed or cut on the remote vbar senso? Can you solder those wires to fix them also as well? Yes I know this voids the warrantee but thats ok. I'm talking just the facts in terms of scientifically speaking.

Thanks for your help!!

You can do either on both cases. If you care about warranty then don't solder anything use high quality servo extensions.
