Default Swash to blade grip linkage rod substitute

I'm down to one spare swash to blade grip linkage rod (flybarless head), not one pack but one rod.
Outrage part R50N575-9 seems gone everywhere. The specs in the manual show a 2.5mm outer diameter rod, 61mm long, with M2 threads. The picture in the manual shows it is 61mm long, and I measured that too; why the manual has label of 2.5x68mm I don't know. Pictures attached from the manual and the parts list in the manual, see #53.

Anyone have any substitutes they've used? I like the idea of a turnbuckle but that isn't a requirement. I found the two examples below.... What isn't clear to me if the examples below have 2.5mm OD rod with M2 threads like Outrage or if they are M2.5 threads. I'm not sure if that matter as they come with ball links - those links would just have to fit the Outrage balls.

Default Servo linkage rods

Good find! I think I will purchase a set of those too.

You may also want to add the HeliOption M2.0x40mm (http://www.helidirect.com/helioption...sh-p-28287.hdx) for the linkage rods between the swashplate and the bell cranks.

I haven't built my Fusion 50 yet, so cannot attest to the quality nor even compatibility. Good luck, and let me know!

Angry

I ordered the HeliOption turnbuckle M2.5x61, the ones I linked to in post #1.
In short - it won't work out of the box. The length is an exact match. However, the turnbuckle has larger M2.5 threads as opposed to M2 threads on Outrage rod. It comes with ball links - but those are for 5mm balls as opposed to the 4.75mm balls on the Fusion. Possible workaround is to 'drill out' the Fusion ball links to fit the 2.5mm rod, find M2.5 / 4.75mm ball links, or find 5mm balls with small enough hardware to fit on the Fusion blade grip and swash. Drilling out the Outrage ball links to fit the larger rod should be doable - but I'm concerned about weakening them. If anybody has any better ideas or sources of the right ball links or balls let me know. In the meantime I'll likely just keep the stock setup until I'm forced to use an alternative; may tinker with the new turnbuckle rods and old fusion ball links. Oh well

Got the answer. Trex 500 DFC ball links (part H50186) are M2.5 x 4.75mm ball links. Those will work with the HeliOption M2.5x61mm turnbuckles (part HPTB004) and the stock balls on your Fusion 50. When fitting I bottomed out the ball links on the rod while matching the length of the existing linkage. I think I'm good but if the linkage needs to be any shorter I'll have to cut just a hair off the end of the turnbuckle rod.

Howdy Amigo,

The Lynx turnbuckle is the one you want... been flying it for years. I also have several of the stock part since I don't use it. PM me if you want them.

Best,

Brandon

I noticed you had posted a partial image of the Flybarless installation setup for a Fusion 50 / Velocity 50 (kit R50N575).

Would you by chance have the full PDF?

I purchased an update kit and it has no instructions. I can figure it out as I am not new, but I would love to have the PDF so that I have a good starting point for all the rod lengths and such.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
