Absolutely!!! I don't think I've ever seen a radio that gives you three different ways to achieve the same end.

When I use the radio on a heli I will cover the EPAs for adjusting swash throw as well as the harder way of using the swash menu.

My wife ordered the Black Friday 10G for me today. I probably won't get to play with it until Christmas though.
It's funny how when I first started looking at radio's the 10G was my third choice between the 10G, Hitec Aurora 9, and the Futaba 8FG.
Now what am I going to do with my Futaba 7C fasst and 2 receivers?

Darn it! I din't know that you could have them move the switch. I wish I would have had mine moved.

My first radio was a Airtronics/Sanwa RD6000. It was a great radio, but it had a plastic toy like feel. I'm going to my LHS next week to "cop a feel" with this radio and if feels good, it will be under the Christmas tree.

Now if only I can get my wife to pay for it!
Went to my LHS today... This radio felt great in my hands(ergonomics) and it was nice and well balanced. But I'm back on the fence with this radio. IMHO, the trim switches felt awfully soft and they had a lot of slop. Additionally the programmable switches on top just didn't have a solid feel I was expecting. I thought I was going to break them when I was flipping the switches.

I'm not knocking this radio. It has more features than I probably ever need. (plus with JKOS latency numbers it's fast as h@ll).

Damn... I want the features, but after messing with the switches I'm worried about breaking them. I don't act like a gorilla my gear, but I don't baby it either. Besides the dropped radio, has anyone has any issues with broken switches?

The switches do have an "ease" about them when switching. I didn't care for it at first but not until after flying the radio did I appreciate them. I used to want that rock solid "clunk" when a switch changes position. Not any more. I can switch flight modes, adjust gyro gain (yes, while flying), change rates, etc. all without moving the radio when I flick a switch. With my old radio I had to basically go back into a hover when changing switches.

Good to know I have that usb just waiting for the TX hahaha... Wonder if you could use this to download firmware as well so you don't have to spend 50 on the airtronics version..

A flight sim cable only watches the PPM stream coming from the transmitter. There is no way to update the firmware or download/upload model memories without using the Airtronics USB cable and software.

OK 4 more videos posted! Go to the FIRST post in this thread to see them but here is the update I posted today.

__________________________________________________ __

OK the final set of videos. I will admit after reviewing them that I made a few "small" verbal mistakes but in general these should be spot on.

Video Link ->F-Mode Menus Part 4 menus 06-09, Pitch Curves, Throttle cut, Hover pitch and throttle trims (55 Megs)

Video Link ->F-Mode Menus Part 5 menus 10-14, Offset, Channel Delay, Trim & Trim step, Trim Authority (66 Megs)

Video Link ->F-Mode Menus Part 6 menus 15-18, Gyro and gov menus, Mixing, C-Mix (55 Megs)

Video Link ->F-Mode Menus Part 7 menus 19-22, VR Assignment, F-mode copy, F-Mode Delay, and F-Mode name (82 Megs)

OK I am all done with the radio menu system overview. Now stay tuned as I will show in a "build video" how to fully setup a heli with this radio.

I checked the first post here and it was not. Did you reload the HF web page to make sure your browsers cash was refreshed?

Hey Bob, just so you know you indeed DID find a glitch in the programming on the trim authority setting for COM or SEP. Mine acts the same way yours did in the video. Trim authority needs to be set to 0% in each flight mode regardless if it says COM or SEP. Nice catch. It really screwed with my setup initially until I figured it out.

Well for sure it is a software BUG... I do not consider it a big bug actually but a "bug" none the less. Whats funny is I did not notice it until I was shooting the video and found it like I did! As you can see many things I shoot are "live and in action" So you get what I get at the time of shooting!
