Default SK540 Gov on Nitro

Good day all. Want to order the SK540 for my 600LE when it`s available. Think the governor will be the same as the SK720 - So how good are the SK540/720 governor on a nitro heli, is it better than the align governor? Just want to know if I must maybe order another governor.

One word: AWESOME!

I'm currently running mine on a T700 nitro with the spektrum back plate sensor all ran into the powerbus. Works beautifully

One word of advise... Ditch the stock mounting tape and hard mount it. My SK540 almost fell off in flight with the stock black tape it shipped with.

Thanks. Talking about the sensor. Also running the spektrum backplate sensor on my 55HZ-R, but it`s the one with the white plug (plug&play on 3gx) : http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/D...rodID=SPMA9569 .

But I think with the SK540 I need this plug: http://www.readyheli.com/SPM6823-Spe...R_p_35965.html .

Is it neccessary to buy the 2nd one or can I just solder the correct connector on the sensor?

Can this be used as an alternative to the usual clutch magnets for providing a gov signal?

you'll want the one from readyheli with the standard r/c connector...

And yes this is an alternative to using the clutch magnet route. Keep in mind though that this particular setup will not work on the YS 91-3DS because of the steel lined back plate. Although I'm not sure about the YS120...?

Is it easy to set it up? And how do you find the Skookum 540?
