Default NEX E6-550 tail blade holders

I am searching for replacement for the tail blade holders for my E6-550. I messed up with the bearings when disassemblying.

Do you guys know whether the spare tail blade holders come already assembled? (part no. 61692, although there is an upgrade one, i.e. part no. 62025).

When I disassemblying my tail blade holders, they were really tight. Most probably JR locked it with thread locker. I warmed them in the oven. But still it was really tight, so I messed with the bearings...

Just received the spare tail rotor blade grips. Yes, it comes assembled.

Shall I try to disassemble the bearings, or can I assume that JR factory did the job well and assemble them on the heli directly? The thing is that I really don't want to mess the bearings again, but I actually would like to be sure that the bearings are assembled and greased properly.

How did you guys do when building your NEX E6 kit, did you disassemble the tail hub set assembly, or directly assemble it on the tail rotor?

Thanks for any hints.

Take it apart, if only for peace of mind.

Heat the grips up with a heat gun and just gently tape it on some would... a oven would also work...

Hi mverhorst,

Actually, yes, for peace of mind.

I tried to disassemble the original ones, since I am having problem with tail wagging, which is most likely of mechanical nature (tried different setup on my Vbar NEO, but no significant change).

I put them in an oven. But it was darn hard to take them apart. I was successful with the one T/R grip, but I messed up with the other one. The result was damaged bearings

All the grips in my Forza where a dream to take apart, heat gun, small tap and the bearings dropped right out...

Take it easy and make sure the grips are heated enough, and if the bearing won't budge with some light pressure heat it up some more...
