My kit cam with the Mikado yge 160 version '25' as written in the caps with a fine sharpie

It had the brake enabled for the motor.

I also had issues with it also.

- incorrect rpm setting
- false starts
- big tail kick when it first started the motor

I put up a post and after some reading I determined I needed an update to version '27' software

Now the rpm is perfect , smooth startup , no more false starts , no more brake on motor.

Needs to be sent to postam Germany though , search out my name for that thread. Has the info needed to get it sent to the right place and customs slip properly filled out in order to be accepted.

Quick process once they get it though.

Thanks, I think I have the latest version as I just received it Friday but I have been having problems with it shutting down and restarting while still in the air when I put a load on the motor such as a elevator tic toc. This is on a goblin 770 though. I thought I remembered mr. Mell saying that you needed to habe the brake enabled on large helicopters so I thinking about turning it on.

The updates version 27 software doesn't have the brake enabled.

The theory as I understand it was for a bail out situation , trying to refire a large motor when it was still turning.

I guess refiring a turning motor can draw big currents ?

I don't know , i'm an all in auto guy. no bailout for me

Applying the brake would get the motor stopped faster.

You must have been in the middle.

How does it work ?

Brakes active on the motor ?

Hopefully it works for you and you don't have to send in
