Default Switch glow failures

I'm posting this here cause its happening on my Rave ESC Nitro. has anyone ever had a switch glow act completely normal except that it doesn't light the glow plug hot enough? Been having to pull canopy to get it started. Just curious.

I just had this happen to my Rave ENV Nitro but I was using a PushGlo. It was displaying the same thing you described. I removed the glow plug and tested it and there was no glowing element.
I ended up installing my spare SwitchGlo and all is currently good .

Mystar it is actually a push glo. I listed it wrong. Was just curious what's up with it. It beeps and everything like its lighting the plug. But I pull the plug and get nothing. Hmm maybe its shot. Thanks for the reply.

Hard to say what went wrong. I peaked under the shrink wrap and nothing was burnt.
Like you said it showed all the normal signs it was working but not igniting the glow plug. I even tried 2 new plugs to rule that out as well.
I may show ZRC if they are at IRCHA this year.

Pretty sure the plug has to be ground through the motor so if you pulled the plug - it shouldn't light.

I was grounding the plug against the engine while powering up both the PushGlo and SwitchGlo, only time it worked was with the SwitchGlo.

I'm such an idiot. It was 2 bad plugs. I must have accidentally put them in my plug caddy. All seems to be working great again. she is making them glow nicely. itvolks, to test I just clipped the plug in the alligator clip and grounded it off the pipe. Lit right up. Thanks guys for the help.
